On Meghan Rose Bradley’s 17th birthday March 16 we can all honor her sweet life and her courageous battle
with brain cancer by buying a rose-colored Livestrong-style bracelet designed in her name to raise money for brain cancer
research. Meghan became ill and was diagnosed with brain cancer in October. She had surgery and came home to Branchburg briefly
before taking a turn for the worse. She lapsed into a coma and died only a few weeks after her diagnosis. Meghan
was an A-student at Somerville High, newly inducted into the National Honor Society, and participated in field hockey and
track. She was also a dance student and a volunteer at her temple.“When Meghan came home from
the hospital after brain surgery she said ‘it feels like I’m in a Hallmark store all for me,’ ” her
mother said. Meghan always knew how to look on the brightside of EVERY situation. She was known for her Megasmile, and
her awsome personality. There will never be anyone who can take Meghans place, but we can all remember her for the amazing
person she was!

Meghans
Parents wanted to do something to keep their beloved daughter’s memory alive and to make a difference for other children
stricken with brain cancer. Brain cancer is the second-leading cause of cancer deaths among young adults, according to the
Journal of the American Medical Association. In
addition to the bracelet project, a family friend established the Meghan Rose Bradley Foundation shortly after Meghan’s
death and people have already contributed thousands. The Bradleys plan to provide scholarships in their daughter’s name
with foundation funds.
